POLICE ACADEMY GRADUATE

THE POSITION

The City of Yuba City is currently recruiting for Police Officer Academy Graduate. Police Officers conduct preliminary crime scene investigations, prepare reports and work with citizens and youth in a variety of crime prevention and safety programs. The position will work out of the Yuba City Police Department located at 1545 Poole Blvd, Yuba City. The ideal candidate will have a sense of service, dedication, commitment to excellence, and a mature approach to such a critical career field. The Yuba City Police Department is a progressive, community-oriented, and nationally recognized department. Ethics, leadership, and a strong commitment to integrity are a must in this position.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Equivalent to the completion of one year of recognized college coursework, preferably in Administration of Justice, Criminal Justice, or closely related field.

Experience: No Experience required.

Licenses and/or Certifications Required: Must have successfully completed a P.O.S.T. certification or academy letter within 3 business days of application submission. Possession of a valid State of California Class C driver’s license.

 

PAY AND INCENTIVES

$5,414 - $6,909 Monthly + $5,000 Hiring Incentive!

A $5,000 Hiring incentive, available to Police Officer Academy Grads who successfully complete the hiring process with the City of Yuba City, is paid in two (2) $2,500 payments as follows: First payment upon the hiring of the candidate, and the second and final payment upon completion of the training program.
